Almost half of SMU’s faculty and staff members have contributed to their fundraising initiative supporting SMU’s Second Century Campaign, according to the University’s Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.
As of late September, three areas on campus have reached their 100 percent participation goal, including the Office of Legal Affairs, the Office of the President and the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development.
Faculty and staff have given a total of 960 gifts to the Second Century Campagin in fiscal year 2010-2011 as of Sept. 30.
Curing the 2009-2010 fiscal year, the faculty and staff component to the Campaign reached 65 percent, surpassing the annual goal of 25 percent participation and the 50 percent goal for the life of the campaign.
This year’s goal? Each of the 15 areas are to exceed their participation rate for last year. Click here to see this year’s progress.
